The current US Administration is making major changes to international imports. If you are based in the US, or wish to ship an order there, please read this information first.

Current Status

UndeadTeds are EXEMPT from the new tariffs – there will be NO additional costs for US customers.

Royal Mail (the UK equivalent of USPS) has confirmed that UndeadTeds are exempt from the US tariffs under legislation which specifically protects artworks from import taxes. If you’re interested in learning more about this, this article is a good start.

Please purchase from UndeadTeds with the confidence that your packages will not incur any unwanted / unexpected fees.

What are tariffs?

Tariffs are a type of tax imposed to encourage people to buy domestic products instead of importing from abroad, and to combat lower prices on international goods.

From August 29th 2025, the US Govt requires goods entering the US to pay a tariff based on Country of Origin.

The current US Administration has also removed the “de minimas” rule, where packages valued under $800 were automatically exempt from any import fees.

What does this mean for US customers?

There will be no tariffs or duties applied either at checkout or during the shipping process / delivery. Royal Mail now requires sellers to declare exemptions when purchasing postage and this new process ensure customers will not receive any nasty surprises on delivery.

Although the tariffs will have no effect on purchasing from UndeadTeds, customers should be aware that there will be shipping delays as USPS and US Customs & Border Protection adapt to the increased workload from the new rules. Please don’t be alarmed if your UndeadTed takes longer than usual to arrive.

I will be watching developments very closely and if there are any updates or changes, I will communicate them immediately via this page and, where necessary, via the newsletter.

All the best!
