EU Customers – Sales to the EU are suspended, please read the official statement.
Suspension of sales to the EU
It is with a very heavy heart that I write this statement. Due to yet another new piece of legislation, I must suspend sales to all EU countries.
Why is this happening?
From August 12th 2026, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations took effect. It’s quite complex, but basically means I need an appointed representative in every EU country to comply with new, strict packaging rules. Without a representative, any packages I send are likely to be stopped by customs and either returned or destroyed. It does not matter that my packaging is fully recyclable and eco-friendly, or that I am a small-volume seller, I must have the representative.
The cost of a representative – from 150 to 1000 euros per country, per year – is frankly prohibitive. I simply don’t make enough sales in the EU to cover these costs, let alone make any profit. I would then also have processing and registration fees on top.
What really upsets me about this is that I have some very dedicated collectors in the EU, now effectively cut off from purchasing further UndeadTeds.
How can EU customers purchase an UndeadTed?
Unfortunately, there is currently no way I can ship orders to any EU country. It is possible that in the future there may be an exemption for small businesses, but there is no sign that this will happen.
Switzerland and Norway, not being EU member countries, are unaffected, so if you happen to live near the border or have friends/family there willing to take a package on your behalf, I will gladly ship to them. Please note however that any customs fees will still apply.
How can customers help?
Although the legislation is now in effect, the EU still has an open consultation which you can add feedback to here:
The new legislation is very complex and confusing, but this guide gives a nice clear description of how it works. UndeadTeds would identify as both a producer and importer.

I am so very sorry I’ve had to do this. I value my EU customers highly and this is breaking my heart. I will be keeping a very close on developments and if there is any way I can reverse this suspension I will do so at the first opportunity.
Until then, thank you so much for supporting my business over the last 13 years. I hope I can welcome you back in the near future.
